I just quite recently began to really get into flatpicking on
acoustic guitar. It´s that sweet sound
you hear in bluegrass music, for instance. I recognize some of techniques from
electric guitar playing,
like alternate picking (downstroke/ upstroke) and cross picking (downstroke/
downstroke/ upstroke).
Here´s a little exercise on your average C chord. The symbols below the
TAB indicate up/ downstrokes (note:
the triangle pointing up is a downstroke and vice versa) and left hand fingering
(also found occasionally in the
standard notation).
